-"At YWAM Louisville we have been able to use 4K for strategizing, analysis, communication and prayer. We are in the process of using 4K to help in bible distribution throughout the city. We have produced maps showing the areas of high foreign born density. The next step is to distribute Bibles in the native languages to these people. We have produced HIV/AIDS maps for Southern Africa. These maps will be used by a ministry that provides homes for people with AIDS in those areas. Before any of our missionaries go into the field they are given a set of maps showing both the physical and spiritual needs of their destination. These maps are used to help them strategize (determine what they will focus on while overseas) and be a prayer guide. We have recently started using 4K as a recruiting tool. We have started to map the location of origin for our staff and students along with where we are sending our recruiting teams. We will use this to determine where to go, the frequency in which we go, and the success of those trips. The final way that we use 4K at YWAM Louisville is in communication with our prayer and support partners. These maps are used to help bring an understanding of the world’s physical and spiritual needs. -"As 4K/12Provinces team, a YWAM ministry in the Netherlands, we have prayerfully selected three ‘partner omega zones’ (POZ’s) for each of our 12 Dutch provinces (Omega Zones) for a focused mission effort from each province. We are starting to mobilize short-term mission teams but aim to see long term projects/programs pioneered. We also encourage other YWAM NL ministries (e.g. Global Outreach Teams, Disciple Training Schools, etc.) to send teams to these 36 POZ’s, and with a fresh vision to our own Dutch provinces as well. -"The 4KEurope Office is currently being pioneered in Herrnhut, Germany to help provide a new tool for Christian ministries running Europe, to help them respond to human needs more effectively. 4K provides global information on physical and spiritual life needs at a more precise level than just the country-level, and makes it visible on a map. The 4K staff in Herrnhut aims to assist Christian organizations and ministries to take advantage of this framework. For example, YWAM Herrnhut has outgoing ministries aiming to impact hunger and to end extreme poverty. They could use 4K to see how those needs are spread and to identify its hot-spots. It would give them a basis to spark their creativity to become more strategic in addressing those needs. They could align their activities according to the new insights, and they could start building networks with other bases and organizations to formulate new action plans to face the global challenge." --4K Europe, Herrnhut, Germany

-"In our region we are starting to use 4K as a tool for completing the unfinished task of reaching the ALL ... ALL tribes and tongues, ALL generations, ALL spheres of society being reached by ALL of the church. Our office has already begun conducting small workshops with all our staff and ministries that are on the ground. It's our desire to help every one of our teams to start seeing their work and their future plans for ministry growth and pioneering through the 4K framework. This way they will be able to see where they are and where they are not and then begin to dream with God in how they can multiply into the areas where they are not. Mapping with the 4K will help us show the needs of the grassroots people on the ground, both spiritual and physical needs. With such maps, our teams on the ground will be able to make better strategic decisions on the type of ministry that they should be carrying out in a particular area. 4K mapping will help us track the routes taken and location visited by our short-term outreach teams in the omega zones in our region. This should help us recognise those locations that have not been visited or those routes seldom taken by short term teams and then allows us to encourage visits to such places. We also aim to use mapping and the 4K to be able to help the local church and other para-church bodies see where their current work is and what potential growth there is waiting for them in the various omega zones in our region. In fact, we've already started conducting mini-seminars with the local churches and para-churches, introducing them to the 4K concept and encouraging them to begin looking at their areas through the 4K framework. It is our hope that these mini-seminars in the Body of Christ will encourage greater collaboration and sharing of data and information so that we can effectively reach the lost and see the transformation of every society. The potential for 4K is not limited to the above but these are some of the things that we are intending to start with.
